Access control turnstile installation
A turnstile guarantees that one valid credential lets one person through. We install tripod and full-height turnstiles, with their readers and an accessible gate, in gyms, offices, factories and sports facilities.

The problem it solves
A door with a reader checks that someone authorised opened it, but not how many people followed. A turnstile solves exactly that: one passage per validation. That is why it is used where there are memberships or capacity limits (gyms, pools, venues) and where you need to know for certain who is inside (factories, construction sites, corporate buildings).
Who it is for
- Gyms and sports centres that want to stop entry without a paid-up membership.
- Factories and logistics sites that need a reliable list of who is on site.
- Office buildings with a reception shared by several companies.
- Venues with a capacity limit that must count people in and out.
What the service includes
- Choosing the type of turnstile for your flow, space and security level: compared in types of turnstile.
- Working out how many lanes you need so queues do not build at peak times (how to calculate it).
- An accessible gate for wheelchairs, pushchairs and goods (turnstiles and accessibility).
- Installation: floor fixing, conduits, power and connection to the reader and software (what to prepare).
- Integration with the access control system or membership software, and with the fire alarm signal to free the passage.
What we always check
- Evacuation. Turnstiles must not narrow or block an escape route. Automatic release or an alternative exit is planned according to the building's fire strategy (evacuation guide).
- Safety in use. Powered pedestrian entrance equipment has its own European standard, EN 17352 (what it means).
- Flooring. Underfloor heating, raised floors and expansion joints limit where a unit can be fixed.
What drives the price
The type of turnstile (a tripod costs far less than a full-height unit), the number of lanes, the finish, the building work needed to run cables under the floor, and which software it must integrate with.
Alternatives
If appearance and fast flow in a lobby matter most, a speed gate is usually a better fit. If controlling doors is enough, see access control.
How we work
- You tell us about your case by phone, email or the form.
- We survey the site: doors, entrances, electrical boards and network.
- We deliver a written, itemised proposal.
- We install, configure and train whoever manages it.
- We hand over documentation and administrator credentials.
Frequently asked questions
Can a turnstile work with my gym membership software?
It depends on the software: many can trigger the opening through a controller or their own reader. The first step is to confirm with the software vendor which integration they support; see our guide to gym turnstiles.
What happens to turnstiles in an emergency?
The design must leave the passage free: drop arms or free rotation on a fire alarm signal or power loss, or a separate emergency exit. The specific solution is validated by whoever is responsible for the building's fire safety.
Is building work needed?
Usually a little: fixing the unit to the slab and running power and data to its base through a chase, trunking or a raised floor.
